A standard monitor stand can take up more desk space than necessary, especially when you already have a keyboard, mouse, laptop or other accessories on the same surface.
The North Bayou F80 Single Arm VESA Mount moves your monitor off its original stand and attaches it to a gas-spring arm. This frees up space underneath the screen while giving you more flexibility over its position.
The F80 supports monitors up to 27 inches and 9kg (20 lbs) and works with standard 75×75mm and 100×100mm VESA mounting patterns.
Free Up More Desk Space
One of the main reasons to use a monitor arm is to get the stand base off your desk. Instead of having the monitor sitting on a large base, the F80 holds it from the back of the desk. This leaves more usable space underneath the screen for your keyboard, notebook, speakers or other accessories.
It's particularly useful on smaller desks where every bit of surface area matters.
Supports Monitors Up to 9kg
The F80 can hold monitors weighing up to 9kg (20 lbs). It supports the common 75×75mm and 100×100mm VESA patterns, and the article specifies compatibility with monitors up to 27 inches. Always check the actual weight and VESA mounting pattern of your monitor before installation.
The weight limit is especially important when choosing a monitor for the arm. A large screen is not automatically compatible simply because it falls within the stated size range.
Cable Management
The F80 includes cable channels along the arm for routing the monitor's power and video cables.
Instead of having the cables drop directly from the back of the monitor onto the desk, they can be guided along the arm for a neater setup. This also keeps the area around the monitor stand clearer.
C-Clamp and Grommet Mounting
The F80 can be installed using either a C-clamp or grommet mount. The mounting system is designed for desks up to approximately 8cm thick, although the desk should still be checked for suitable clearance and strength before installation.
For a C-clamp installation, make sure there is enough space at the rear edge of the desk for the clamp to sit securely.
