The Subaru Impreza came in with its factory halogen headlight bulbs, using H11 for the low beam and 9005 for the high beam. We upgraded both applications with NaoEvo LED bulbs to give the car stronger illumination for night driving.
For this upgrade, we installed NaoEvo H11 180W LED bulbs for the low beam and NaoEvo 9005 180W LED bulbs for the high beam.
The finished setup gives the Impreza over 150 metres of illumination on low beam and over 300 metres on high beam, giving the driver a much clearer view of the road ahead at night.
Low Beam: H11 Halogen to NaoEvo H11 180W LED
The factory H11 halogen bulbs were replaced with NaoEvo H11 180W LED bulbs. The low beam is the light the driver relies on most during normal night driving, so getting a stronger and more usable beam was an important part of this upgrade.
On this Impreza, the upgraded low beam provides illumination of over 150 metres. The LED output also gives the headlights a brighter, cleaner appearance compared with the original halogen setup.
The result is better visibility of the road ahead without changing the factory headlight housing.
High Beam: 9005 Halogen to NaoEvo 9005 180W LED
For the high beam, we replaced the factory 9005 halogen bulbs with NaoEvo 9005 180W LED bulbs.
The upgraded high beam reaches over 300 metres, making a noticeable difference when driving on darker roads where longer-range illumination is needed. This is particularly useful on open roads and rural routes where there is less street lighting and the driver needs to see further ahead.
