This Toyota Land Cruiser LC200 came in with its factory halogen headlights. The low and high beams were upgraded with NaoEvo LED bulbs to give the vehicle more useful light on dark roads.
The finished setup uses NaoEvo H11 180W LEDs for the low beam and NaoEvo 9005 180W LEDs for the high beam.
On this LC200, the upgraded low beam reaches over 150 metres, while the high beam reaches beyond 300 metres under suitable road conditions.
The Upgrade
NaoEvo H11 180W LED Low Beam
The factory H11 halogen bulbs were replaced with NaoEvo H11 180W LED bulbs. The upgraded low beam produces a crisp white output and reaches over 150 metres on this LC200 under suitable conditions.
That gives the driver more light further along the road, which is particularly useful on dark roads and areas without street lighting.
NaoEvo 9005 180W LED High Beam
The original 9005 halogen high beams were replaced with NaoEvo 9005 180W LED bulbs. The upgraded high beam reaches beyond 300 metres under suitable road conditions.
This extra reach is useful when the LC200 is travelling on an unlit highway, rural road or other dark stretch where there is enough space to use high beam safely.
The high beam should always be dipped when approaching oncoming traffic or when following another vehicle.
How the LC200 Looks After the Upgrade
The change is also visible when the headlights are switched on. The NaoEvo LEDs produce a crisp white light compared with the warmer colour of the original halogen bulbs.
For the LC200, this gives the front lighting a cleaner appearance while providing the additional output from the upgraded bulbs.
