A good desk setup does not need to be complicated. This build keeps the essentials on the desk while giving enough screen space for working across several applications at once.
At the centre of the setup is a 1.4m height-adjustable desk, paired with a 34-inch monitor, a 27-inch monitor and a North Bayou F160 dual monitor arm.
The 1.4m Height-Adjustable Desk
The 1.4m x 0.6m height-adjustable desk gives the setup enough surface area for two monitors and the necessary peripherals without taking up excessive space.
Its height can be adjusted from 0.7m to approximately 1.5m, allowing the user to work either seated or standing. The desk also has three memory presets, making it easier to return to preferred sitting and standing heights.
The built-in cup holder and headphone holder keep those items off the main working surface, leaving more room for the keyboard and mouse.
Two Screens, One Workspace
The monitors are mounted on a North Bayou F160 dual monitor arm, which frees up desk space and allows both screens to be positioned according to the user's preferred viewing angle. The main display is a 34-inch ultrawide monitor, with a 27-inch monitor alongside it.
The larger screen works well as the main workspace, while the second display can be used for documents, communication, reference material or other applications that need to remain visible.
Instead of constantly switching between windows, both screens can be used at the same time.
Keyboard and Mouse
The setup uses a Langtu LT-104 mechanical keyboard together with the Langtu G4 mouse.
The keyboard sits centrally beneath the monitors, while the mouse has enough space to the side for comfortable movement. A large extended mouse pad covers the working area underneath both peripherals.
Keeping the Desk Clear
Cable management is important in a dual-monitor setup because there are more power and display cables to deal with.
An under-desk cable management tray keeps the cables and power accessories below the desktop rather than leaving them spread across the work surface.
With the monitors mounted and the cables routed underneath, the desktop is left with only the equipment needed during use.
The Complete Setup
This build brings together eight main components:
- 1.4m x 0.6m height-adjustable desk
- 34-inch 165Hz curved monitor
- 27-inch 2K 165Hz monitor
- North Bayou F160 dual monitor arm
- Langtu LT-104 wireless mechanical keyboard
- Langtu G4 transparent wireless mouse
- Cable management tray
- Ergonomic mesh office chair
The result is a straightforward dual-monitor workstation with enough space for everyday work, study, multitasking and occasional gaming. Each component has a clear place, without filling the desk with equipment that isn't being used.
